CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

Rochester International Airport recently completed construction on a $1.4 million dollar airfield lighting project. This project upgraded all direct bury airfield wiring to can and conduit. Some sections of the direct buy wiring had been in place since 1960.  In addition, all taxiway lighting will be LED type lighting rather than quarts lighting, allow for better nighttime visibility.  Installation of these cost-effective LED lights is expected to generate approximately $36,000 annually in utility savings.

Every attempt will be made to issue NOTAMS for all closed areas of RST at least 3 days (72 hours) prior to the portion being closed to traffic. However, unforeseen delays or notification may result in earlier NOTAM issuance. Please check NOTAMS prior to your flight.
