In 1960, when the airport was first built, it was called the Rochester Municipal Airport. For over five decades, the airport continues to provide aviation services and development to the Rochester community. Now renamed Rochester International Airport, it has more than 330,000 sq. ft of available cargo ramp space. Future cargo operations expansion could include 730,000 sq. ft of building and ramp space. Companies who are interested to build within the RST Cargo Facility can contact the Airport Manager at (507) 282-2328. The three-letter airport code is RST.
Rochester International Airport is currently serviced by Northwest Airlines and American Airlines, with daily trips for passenger service. Allegiant Air also offers charter trips directly to Las Vegas, NV. And the cargo services are handled by FedEx and DHL.
The RST Cargo Operations utilizes high performance logistics solutions to fulfil their air cargo handling services. Efficient baggage sorting and parcel handling solutions are important part of the system. Systems and individual mechanisms are provided for storing, repacking and finally transporting air cargo items.
Packages and parcels can be delivered at the RST airport office on Air Commerce Drive.
